Montreal + Melissa 4 ever

I'm soooooo glad to be home. I love my country-smelling, cluttered little home on the river in Quebec, Canada. I love Canada. I love Montreal. Ever since I can remember, when I wake up in the morning, the first thing I think is, "oh crap". Waking up Monday, the first morning back, I was actually happy. Smiling happy. Oh listen, the red-wing blackbird is singing-happy. I didn't think "oh crap" even once that day, even though I had to put away all my luggage and vacuum and stuff. Grateful. I feel grateful to live where I do. Grateful to be Canadian. Yesterday, I walked around Montreal with butterflies in my stomach like a high school crush. My crush was on the city.

Ahh, she sighed contentedly.

So, I am putting California Coasting to rest. I'll leave it up, but no more updates. I will continue to draw and am thinking I might try to throw together a little website for viewing that whole deal. In a while. In a while. Right now, I have to go write "Montreal + Melissa" on my binder in liquid paper and surround it with a big heart.
